UltraMarine : The Movie

i want to apologize for the extremely slowpoke entry regarding this movie.
not shown at any cinema in malaysia, it was release around December 2010 last year.
manage to made a purchase online right after returning from my CF2010 KL trip.
arrive around end of december (30-31st December 2010) , been sitting on my bookshelf for almost 4 month.

what the whole package would contain and look like

until i open it up last night and decided to watch it.

The Story :
a Division of Ultramarine was despatch to a planet where a distress beacon was activated by their fellow chapter marine (Imperial Fist), upon arrival they saw sign of battle on the surface of planet. the scene was gruesome. they encounter a "Demon" during their rescue approach to the distress Beacon origin, their chapter captain went down with the demon.(both status were unknown at this point),  they finally reach the signal where the beacon is transmitting, 2 surviving Imperial fist marine was there to greet them, a chaplain and a chapter codex guardian.


long story short, their "captain" who presume to be dead, came back with them during extraction. only to be expose as the "demon" later on, it was a trap set up by "heretic" or "chaos" black legion all along. the chapter codex the imperial fist guarding is actually empty, in its pages was word of the "heretic" (only appeared conjured by the "demon". the demon also exposed his real intention which was to use their dead "captain" body as a vessel , hitch a ride on the ultramarine battlebarge, and spread chaos when they arrive at ultramarine headquarters. but the plot was foiled , thanks to a brave ultramarine equip with a "sacred thunder hammer"

as a fan of Warhammer 40k universe it was a good movie, straight forward easy to understand storyline.
the graphic could be done better but acceptable due to the  limited funding. it will not be appealing for non-fan of this genre/ universe, critics reviews are harsh on this movie but nonetheless for the real hardcore fans it is definitely worth watching.   

Best Scene.
one of the short best battle scene in my opinion.
this scene took place during their final moment of extraction at the planet surface, they were confronting final assault by the "Black legion" of chaos marine.

 

while everybody is firing their weapon to protect their ass,

this "Chaplain" , Chaplain Carnak

just stand there looking cool.

 Brother proteus : Chaplain !!!! do you not a weapon ?

Translation : don't you have a weapon to fire with ?

when the enemy is near enough.....

suddenly out of nowhere..

 with a scream....

BURN !!! HERETICS !!!

BURN !!!

 yeah.....ultramarine battlecry is..... 

We March for Macragge!

we shall know no FEAR !!!!!
