DIY Combat Knife

hello again, i'm here to share yet another interesting tutorial on how to make your very own Combat knife for cosplaying/costuming.

before beginning the build project, you will need the following material :-

12 inch x 1 inch wood = 2 pcs
3 inch x1 inch wood = 4 pcs
PVC leather sheets
transparent shapeable plastic
thread and needle
leftover PVC pipe sheets

ok lets begin...

Step 1 : find some wood for the knife base
glue 2 extra wood for the knife handle

Step 2  : shape the wood according to the knife design you desired,
cut shape and installed the front and rear "bolster"

i cut mine to a semi-circle shape for the front and a circular round shape for the rear.
material used for bolster are PVC.

Step 3: make some "fin" design on the blunt side of the blade
and some "straight groove" on the handle for grip and decoration

Step 4: apply "resin" and "Bondo" to cover-up the wood line.

Step 5  : find some transparent plastic and PVC leather for the cover casing

step 6: cut transparent plastic according to the shape of the knife
(make sure the knife fit inside !!! very important !!!)

Step 7 : cut the PVC leather according to the transparent casing you just made.
sew the edges manually with thread and needle :)

step 8 : paint undercoat on both of the knife

Final product ^_^v

P/S : don't forget to sew on Belt clip on the back side of the knife cover for easy attachment to your tactical belt
